Women under Sharia Law

A lot is taking place in the world today in the name of religion but this is nothing new: history is replete with acts of war in the name of religion.

One hears of what is happening in London, in southern France or in the Netherlands where Muslims want to replace Christianity with Islam. The Middle East is aflame with the rising of an army of extremist Muslims who are determined to create a new Caliphate by eliminating anyone who fails to accept Islam and forgo all other religions; this is often accompanied by acts that westerners consider to be cruel, savage. A natural consequence of such a change would usher Sharia Law.

Islam has already made inroads in the United States but not as extensively as in Europe, where several cities have been taken over by Muslims, and we have seen already isolated cases of jihad (holy war) reverberating across the land. We are told that Islam is a religion of peace, yet there is a considerable number of Muslims who are violent and want nothing less than to eliminate all infidels who refuse to be converted. Once Islam has been established, Sharia Law will become the law of the land.

Naturally, among the converts are women, usually the wives of males who have chosen to become Muslims. Surely they do not agree to making such a radical change unless they, too, are dissatisfied with their spiritual life. However, given the many freedoms that American women enjoy at home, in the workplace, in government and in society, one wonders if they are informed enough to know what awaits them once they have submitted to laws as prescribed by the Koran. Listed below are a few of the things that Muslim wives must accept; they will give an idea of what American women converts will face when the excitement of their act has subsided.

  • In the Muslim faith a man can marry a girl when she is six years old and consummate the marriage when she has reached the age of nine. The Prophet (Muhammad) set this example in the 7th Century A.D. when he married Aisha, then six years old but did not consummate their marriage until she was nine.

  • The usual custom when a man wishes to marry is to give a bride dowry to the family in exchange for the woman to be his wife (or more appropriately, his slave).

  • Even though the husband may abuse his wife, she cannot obtain a divorce. The man, however, may say three times “I divorce you” in the presence of two male witnesses and she must pick up her belonging and return to her family leaving the children behind.

  • The children of a Muslim family belong to the father.

  • Often after a woman has been raped, she is returned to her family and the family must return the dowry paid by the husband.

  • To prove rape, the woman must produce four (4) male witnesses.

  • If a woman has strayed from the conjugal bed, her husband has the right to execute her in public in order to restore his honor. The woman is placed in the ground with only her upper body visible and she is stoned to death; her sons and husband cast the first stones.

  • A husband can beat his wife “at will” without having to explain why.

  • Sharia Law allows a man to marry up to four (4) wives, provided that he can afford them. He is also permitted a “temporary wife,” meaning a prostitute.

It is too sad that those who are disillusioned with life and Christianity, choose to become Muslims in search of something missing in their lives, expecting praise and rewards after death. Many converts who consider themselves disenfranchised suddenly find themselves forming part of an army that is willing to shed blood in the name of Islam. The peaceful ones show their support of the warriors with their finances and own kind of patriotism to their religion. While America and Britain are getting rid of Christianity from all public sites and erasing God from the lives of children, the Muslims are planning a great jihad on America .. (and Britain ) …

How do you suppose their wives will adjust to the new reality that will confront them?
